The Ahkhet Asung Muga Phanek is a handloom piece rooted in traditional Manipuri weaving, presented in a vivid dark pink (rani/magenta) shade. The body of the phanek is handwoven in a delicate self-check texture with a soft metallic shimmer running through the weave.

The border is the centerpiece — a wide band of interlocking circular medallions embroidered with intricate scrollwork, floral motifs, and starburst centers in gold and silver zari thread, set against a deep maroon-pink ground. A narrow strip of gold dotted and paisley embroidery separates the plain body from the medallion border, adding depth to the transition.
